ABOUT THE ARTIST

Exploring Intimacy through various media and materials ranging from paintings to clothing and short films the visual artist Ásta Sól tries to create moments of connection. Trying to investigate questions like how do we look for intimacy, how can it find us and what does it mean to experience different kinds of intimacy with yourself or with others.

The video work captures an intimate exploration of The Hague through fleeting moments, weaving together reflections, light and water. Through this lense viewers are invited into a sensory journey of my first encounter with the city.
